Muttahida’s issues to be resolved: Babar Awan

Federal Minister Babar Awan on Tuesday said that all ‘grievances’ of the MQM will be resolved. “I was part of the meeting in which an MQM delegation met with PM Gilani and President Zardari…also I had a meeting with President Zardari…we are optimistic to remove MQM’s issues,” Awan said.Talking to media representatives, Awan said MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s issues were real and that he completely agreed with the MQM management.
MQM has expressed its issue over the socio-economic difficulties of the folks and related are the views of the govt, he added.Awan said the govt was decided to resolve the issues of the public during the next two years.He said the government was in no haste and it would full its tenure and present a people pleasant budget in the next two years.Awan said that despite the worldwide financial crisis and the country being in a state of war, Pakistan had achieved significant stability during the last three years and had attracted investment as well.
He said the government had successfully rehabilitated over 2.5 million internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Swat and simultaneously made efforts to deal with natural disasters.To a question about the decisions taken not long ago by the judiciary, Awan said the present government will always regard the judiciary. About the anti-corruption drive of the present government, he said a key move was in the offing to catch big bank defaulters.
