PML-N hints at lawful action against Muttahida

The PML-N is considering lawful action against the MQM parliamentarians involved in “bad-mouthing” against the PML-N leadership.
Ahsan Iqbal, the information secretary of the PML-N, was critical of those political parties which, in spite of being part of the coalition government, were criticising it day in and day out.
The PML-N and the Muttahida indulged in a mud-slinging bout on Wednesday, slandering each other’s main leadership.
“If they are truly honest, they should leave the government and do politics based on principles,” Mr Iqbal said at a press conference on Saturday.
He blamed the government and its coalition partners for the worsening law and order situation. Mr Iqbal also slammed the government for the huge raise in oil rates, calling for a change of the decision.
He called for removal of ‘corrupt’ officials from financial institutions, saying that new appointments should be made through a parliamentary committee. He said the economy was on its knees because of corruption.

Sony to release PlayStation mobile phone in summer

Sony’s long-rumoured PlayStation Portable mobile phone is planned to be released in North America and Europe as early as the summer, according to a Japanese newspaper report Wednesday.
The device would likely be based on Sony’s portable PSP Go game console, would be made by Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications and run Google’s Android operating system, said the Asahi Shimbun’s English edition, citing un named sources.
Sony hopes to take on Apple’s iPhone, Research in Motion’s BlackBerry and Nokia devices by offering the first smart phone that is based on a portable game console, with a set of controls that allows very enhanced gaming.
The PSP Go, released in November 2009, already functions software downloads through a wireless connection, allowing players to also browse the Internet, watch movies, play music and read books and comics.
The new PlayStation phone would likewise work with Sony’s online media platform, the company’s answer to Apple’s iTunes.Sony hopes the cell phone will promote sales in the sluggish videogame console market, said the Asahi.
